My Recovery

Today, my legs are finally feeling near 100% after the ugly mudder this past weekend. I ended up not putting too much mileage in this week (I think I am only up to about 15 ish for the week), but I was on travel for a good portion of the week so that makes doing much of anything a struggle.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any time I drink more than 2 or 3 beers, I really sleep like crap that night. For example, last night, I went and grabbed some beers and played some foosball and air hockey with some folks on travel with me. I probably had 3 or 4 beers and ended up getting to bed pretty early to catch a 7:00 a.m. flight. I woke up around 3:00 a.m. and I couldn't fall back asleep until my alarm went off at around 5:10. There is nothing more frustrating for me than not being able to fall asleep. I think I was also a little anxious about sleeping through my alarm. ohh well I will be sleeping in my comfy pillow top bed tonight with my comfy flannel sheets. I will certainly not have a problem falling asleep tonight!!

Yes, I have the same beer/sleep problem. After 1 beer, I sleep great! After 3-4 beers, I don't sleep well and I usually wake up to pee. After 5 or more beers (this rarely happens, I swear!) I sleep sound.

i can sleep like a baby no matter how many beers. next day i am tired though. wuss
