My Duality

the past week has been disappointing running-wise. I got a head cold last tuesday, so I took about a week off running to try and heal up, but now it moved to my chest which makes running even harder. I think i may try for 3 or 4 miles tonight to see if maybe some light exercise will help shake this cold. so the total for last week was a whopping 5 miles. and this the week before the PDR... bleh. I was hoping to get back below 1:40 at the PDR, but that seems like a bit of a stretch now. I am supposed to run a 5k tonight and I am at least hoping to break 21:00 again, but the lungs may not hold up. 13.1 miles also sounds pretty damn long right now.

however disappointing this past week was running and health-wise, my personal life has made up for it 10 googol-fold. I got engaged last sunday to the most amazing woman in the world (and I would be saying this if you weren't reading it). I knew it was coming obviously, but it is still a bit of a shock to think of myself as a fiance. Not that I don't think I am husband material, i just still think of myself as a young kid... but I guess this is that first step into what some may call adulthood. Kristin and I also pulled off a great party this past saturday night with a great mix of people. and this past sunday was the first day of the football season and my fantasy football team won. i don't deserve the win, but I will take it.
